So here we are in the future, apparently. We have the internet, an international space station in orbit of the earth, fake meat that (kinda) tastes like real meat, and now we have Artificial Intelligence. I’m not sure we are ready for this new tool or whatever it is. Frankly I find it terrifying. Maybe it’s the books I have read, or the episodes of Star Trek I have watched, or perhaps SKYNET from the Terminator films that has me uneasy.
AI brings us the ability to ask a computer model what it thinks about us, how we write, or respond to emails. It can summarize queries on the internet, though that has been problematic.
I can see using it to help with mundane tasks and double checking for human errors, but using it to create “art” in the place of a human is troubling. We’ll see where this goes….
