Well, I had to update my computer to the latest operating system today in order to run certain software. I have been using a little piece of software called Retrospective that allowed me to run iTunes on my Mac-after Apple killed iTunes back in 2015, so I’ve been kinda cheating for the last 10 years.
I know iTunes had its flaws and haters, and I know it wasn’t perfect, but it did what I needed it to do. It was useful managing a catalog of over 3000 albums, close to 40,000 songs. I’ve been using it via Retrospective for this entire time, without a hitch. But that ended today.
I updated to the latest version of MacOS Sequoia, in anticipation of installing Tahoe next week and just as soon as I did, I found out that Retrospective software is no longer supported and has been cancelled by the developer.
This is a total bummer. I’m not sure what I am going to do, but whatever it is, it’s going to be a hard transition. More on this later……
